Creating Change through training

Inner City Change, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and implementing buildmyskills.org, a comprehensive Construction Training Program. As the demand for skilled trade workers continues to surge across the United States, our program has become more essential than ever. With affordable housing and infrastructure repair projects in high demand, the need for trained professionals is at an all-time high.  Unfortunately, the cost of attending college has skyrocketed in the last 30 years, leaving nearly 60% of students with massive loans for their education. The average student debt has reached $28,950.00, making it increasingly difficult for college graduates to pay off their loans. However, this presents a unique opportunity for those seeking a stable and fulfilling career in the skilled trades. The demand for skilled trade workers is projected to grow even further, with 40% of existing construction workers expected to retire in the next 10 years. This shortage will create significant job opportunities, leading to higher wages and more job stability for those who have completed our training program.
